A rare treat in the Midwest during winter – guavas! I found them on sale at a supermarket last week. I love the taste of the soft flesh combined with the crunchy seeds.

Thanks, Cee! I also like the hydrant – it was the first time I’d ever seen a half-buried fire hydrant and it seemed really unusual to me, but since then I’ve seen a few more. It’s odd there’d be on in the middle of a field, however!
