Gazania regins is the scientific name for New Day Clear Orange Treasure Flower. I took this photo at the Chicago Botanic Garden in June, but I think the color orange is so appropriate for September as fall approaches.

A beautiful shot! I have many varieties of these in my garden and we are coming into Spring here – the best time for them. 🙂

Thanks! They are so bright; I can imagine that your garden must light up your day! Do they have other colors?
They sure do! I have around 5 different gold ones but they range from white to purple and include reds and oranges some with brown streaks. I had a stunning red one with a gold and brown inner core – i’ll post it one day.
If you live in a warm climate they are easy to grow, but they prefer well drained sandy soil.
love.
