Thursday Doors: St. James Cathedral, Chicago

St. James Episcopal Cathedral is a lovely, Gothic Revival style church at the corner of Huron and Wabash in Chicago. It is the cathedral for the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. Last week I attended a concert there with friends, as the pianist had been our former choir director. The doors were lovely, and so was the rest of the church.

The cathedral is surrounded by highrises, such as this one.

The interior was not as elaborately decorated as some cathedrals, but it inspired reverence and awe in its simplicity.
