The famous (and huge) Louvre art museum in Paris was once a palace, so one doesn’t just look at paintings. Architectural splendor abounds. Most of it is quite ornamental and historic, so imagine my surprise at seeing this ceiling in one of the galleries!

  1. wow this is stunning . . . no recollection of this from my visit, I clearly was not looking up in those days (was over 20years ago!!).
