Bushboys World has a photo challenge to post the last photo on your camera’s SD card for April or your last photo from April on your cell phone. Here is the last photo I took with my cellphone yesterday.

I liked the contrast of the swan with the bright blue of the water, and the ripples of the wake he created as he swam at a good clip toward shore.

Dale and I were taking a walk around the campus and the afternoon had turned into a beautiful sunny day. I took several photos of the swans and also flowers. My last photo was of Sidney (male swan) coming across the lake toward where we were standing, with his wings puffed up to look big and threatening. Of course, we aren’t scared of Sidney, but admire him for protecting his mate on their nest incubating their five eggs!
