The balloon flowers I transplanted to a pot on our new house’s patio have adapted very well! Balloon flowers are actually very easy to grow – I originally got balloon flowers from my sister’s front yard when she was moving several years ago. The transplant into my tire pot (I inherited two pots made from tires) was very successful, and its second transplant – to our new home – has done well too!
Why are they called “balloon flowers?” The bottom photos show the balloon shape which is the flower’s bud. It grows to full size, in a ballooning fashion, and turns light purple on the outside, then the petals unfold.

Beautiful ❤❤❤
