We took a little jaunt out to the western suburbs today, including a visit to Cantigny, the Wheaton estate of Col. Robert McCormick, founder of the Chicago Tribune and WGN. Both he and his wife are buried on the estate. The grounds have been renovated recently and we walked around and admired the views. There was a large plantation of sunflowers, where I took this photo. I will be posting others in the days to come.
