Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week has the theme curves and arches. Here are some recent (mostly pandemic & post-pandemic) photos in Chicago and suburbs.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this past week has been about circles and wheels. Here is my contribution.
Pumpkins are not necessarily round, but their shape is generally thought of as spherical – some are and some aren’t! I just liked this display of pumpkins outside a Mariano’s supermarket.
And a pinwheel!
Circular centers of flowers
Ice on a circular pot…
…and decorative bowls.
Cee is featuring songs as inspiration for photography for her Fun Foto Challenge. And this week it’s one of my most favorite songs, Here Comes the Sun!
It’s been a long cold lonely winter
Here comes the sun
That ice is slowly melting
The smiles returning to the faces
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge has a series focusing on songs. This week the theme is It’s a Small World.
“It’s a small world after all”
“There is just one moon…
…And one golden sun”
“And a smile means friendship for everyone.”
Cee ends her color series for her Fun Foto Challenge this week, with the color blue.
A gallery of sunflowers from the Moorings community gardens!
There are also lovely patches of black eyed susans around campus that brighten my day during my walks.
Another community garden flower: a bright yellow zinnia.
Cee has begun a series on colors for her Fun Foto Challenge, and this week the topic is orange.
When I think of orange flowers, marigolds, lilies, and zinnias come to mind.
There is also the fruit, as in this still life.
Another edible orange is the pumpkin.
And speaking of pumpkins, I’m reminded of Halloween.
Halloween takes place in autumn, and what can be more autumnal than trees bursting with color?
Beautiful sunsets almost always contain orange.
One year, I had my toenails painted orange! (Those are my toes on the left. My niece decided on black!)
Does this double couch look comfortable? I wonder how would people socialize with this back to back seating.
And there is always orange in art, in this case, glass art!
Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge this week is: Ground: sand, dirt, paths, walks, trails, roads, etc.
Bridges, paths & walkways, desert and mountain terrains, and national parks – these are some of the places to find interesting “ground.” Sometimes there is an added bonus: a lizard, a flower, or a butterfly, or something ugly, like trash. This challenge is a way to showcase the photos I don’t usually publish in other posts!
Chicago Botanic Gardens: bridges, paths, and walkways
Cuba Marsh Wildlife Preserve (Illinois): walkways and grassland
The Middle East (Egypt and Israel): Desert landscapes, markets and farms
Mountain and Southwest (USA) terrain: ground above & below the tree line and rocks at Rocky Mountain National Park; trails and paths at Bryce Canyon National Park
