For Cee’s Flower of the Day, I continue with another post of cactus flowers, from the Chicago Botanic Garden. There is a plaque nearby that identifies this plant as “Echinopsis ‘Flying Saucer’ Cactaceae.” I don’t know how it got this name; perhaps the flowers look like flying saucers that landed on the cactus?! 😀
