Becky’s January Square Photo Challenge is _____light (words ending in light). Here is Sunlight Over the Dead Sea in Israel. (Taken Jan. 12, 2019 at 8:15 am with Samsung S7 from motorcoach.)
Did you know? The Dead Sea is actually not a sea – it is a lake, but has been called a “sea” since ancient times. It is more than 30% salt and the percentage of salination is gradually increasing as the sea/lake diminishes. It is called “dead” because it harbors no life due to the hostile environment of high salination.
oh what a gorgeous photograph, but it doesn’t seem square?!
I had made it square, but then I forgot and edited it to take out more of the foreground – duh!! I’ve fixed it so now it’s truly square!
Phew not my eyes then!!
